Maalström is a Prague-based studio focused on hand-turned wooden objects with a strong material presence. Founded by Lubomír Kuča, it grew from his earlier work with recycled, hand-bound journals under the name Deafmessanger. His practice later moved into wood, guided by simplicity, imperfection and the individual character of each material.
