These Terms & Conditions govern purchases made through the Maalström Studio online shop.
2. Products
Maalström objects are handmade and created from natural materials.
Product photographs, descriptions, dimensions, materials and finishes are provided as accurately as reasonably possible.
Natural variations in colour, grain, texture, knots, minor cracks, surface irregularities and traces of the making process may occur. These characteristics are inherent to natural wood and handmade production and do not constitute a defect where they correspond to the product description and nature of the material.
3. Prices
All prices shown in the shop are stated in the currency displayed at checkout and include VAT where applicable.
Shipping costs are not included unless expressly stated and are shown before the order is submitted.
4. Orders
A customer places an order by selecting a product, adding it to the cart and completing the checkout process.
Before submitting the order, the customer has the opportunity to review and correct the entered information.
After the order has been submitted, an order confirmation is sent to the email address provided by the customer.
The purchase agreement is concluded when the order is accepted by the seller.
5. Payment
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.
The current underlying Deafmessanger store supports payment by card, PayPal and bank transfer; only the payment methods shown in the Maalström checkout at the time of purchase are applicable to a given order.
6. Delivery
Orders are normally dispatched within 5 working days after the order has been received and payment has been confirmed.
Available shipping methods, prices and estimated delivery times are shown during checkout and described on the Shipping & Returns page.
The customer is responsible for providing correct and complete delivery information.
7. Personal pickup
Personal pickup is available at:

Pickup is free of charge. Payment must be completed in advance.
8. Right of withdrawal
Consumers purchasing online generally have the right to withdraw from the purchase agreement within 14 days from receipt of the goods, unless a statutory exception applies.

Returned goods must be sent back within 14 days after notifying us of the withdrawal.
The customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods unless otherwise required by law.
Refunds are processed in accordance with applicable law. We may withhold the refund until the returned goods have been received or until the customer provides proof that the goods have been sent back.
The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to goods made or modified according to the customer’s individual specifications where the legal exception applies.
9. Returns and condition of goods
Returned goods should be handled only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
The customer may be responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for this purpose.
10. Defective goods and complaints
If a product is defective or does not conform to the purchase agreement, the customer retains all statutory consumer rights.

Consumer complaints are handled within the statutory time limits.
11. Damage during transport
Please inspect the package upon delivery.
If the parcel appears visibly damaged, notify the carrier where possible and document the condition of the package.
Transport damage does not affect statutory rights relating to defective goods.
12. Intellectual property
All photographs, texts, graphics, designs, product images and other content on the Maalström Studio website are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
They may not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.
13. Personal data
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection legislation.
14. Alternative dispute resolution
If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved directly with us, the competent alternative dispute resolution body in the Czech Republic is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce – ČOI).
15. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions and purchase agreements concluded through the Maalström Studio shop are governed by Czech law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections applicable under EU law.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary.
The version applicable to an order is the version effective at the time the order was placed.
