Aleksandra
Aleksandra began as a thin-walled vessel with a narrow opening. During finishing, the delicate wall near the opening burned through and collapsed under the flame. What first appeared to be a mistake revealed an unexpected form, so approximately one third of the upper section was removed and the firing was stopped. The result was preserved with only a trace of charring. Its shape later inspired a second vessel, Iris—making the two a closely connected pair.
