Iris is the twin sister of Aleksandra. After an accident unexpectedly transformed Aleksandra’s thin upper walls, the resulting form was deliberately explored again in Iris. She was turned from the same red oak, with the same narrow opening and delicate walls. A small crack beside the opening is held by a pair of stitches. Together, the two vessels tell the story of an accident becoming an idea worth repeating.
