Anke is one of the smallest recent hollow forms: an almost spherical vessel with a compact, balanced silhouette. A vertical band on the front is charred, leaving the natural red-oak colour visible on either side. A thin turquoise line runs through the middle of the blackened band, dividing it into two. Anke was turned from the same log as Erna, creating a related pair with distinctly different shapes.
